Mark Rubinstein, MD
Principal Investigator
Dr. Rubinstein is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine, University of California San Francisco. Dr. Rubinstein received his degree in Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Yale, and a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Rubinstein’s research focus has been on adolescent nicotine addiction. He is also a practicing clinician at the UCSF Teen Clinic.

Michelle Rait, MA
Project Manager
Michelle holds a Masters' Degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She has worked on numerous research studies, both at UCSF and other universities. Her experience is diverse, having worked with populations across the lifespan.
Jennifer Simington, BA
Research Assistant/Participant Coordinator
Jen has worked with teens across the Bay Area for several years now, both as part of the current study and as an assistant on a previous study. She has worked for the UCSF Department of Pediatrics since 2002 and has been working with teenagers for over a decade. She previously worked for a UCSF natural history study of young women.
